Who We Are

Frontera Concepts was founded in San Antonio in 2002 as a Texas Limited Liability Corporation by three partners with the desire to start a technology company to serve the emerging needs of a growing regional economy. First year sales were less than $100,000 and currently exceed $500,000.

Our Lead Team

John C. Garza - Mr. Garza served as the General Manager and Chief of Operations for a local computer solutions company in San Antonio before deciding to start his own company. As the company’s CEO, John is responsible for the management and supervision of all day to day operations. He also oversees communication between clients and the Company’s various service components. He also provides direct support of all aspects of client LAN/WAN project implementation including hardware/software specification, implementation and post implementation support. Finally, John is the primary contact for all vendor and client contract preparation, negotiation and fulfillment.

Jacob B. Bernal - Mr. Bernal is responsible for the management and supervision of all staff in the Client Support Department. He is principally involved in day-to-day operations concerning network integration, design, installation, security, administration, migration and database implementation. Jake also serves as the network administrator for most of the Company’s existing clients and is versed in all aspects of client LAN/WAN project implementation including hardware/software specification, implementation and post implementation support.

Simon G. Salas - Mr. Salas serves as the Company’s General Counsel and oversees strategic planning and targeted partnership development. Simon spent the early part of his career as a corporate lawyer working for several New York City law firms in the areas of health care, real estate and public finance. In 1991, Simon was selected as the Deputy Commissioner for Legal Affairs and Finance for the New York City Department of Finance and oversaw the legal affairs of the agency. He also taught public policy at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs for five years from 1992 until 1997. Mr. Salas received his bachelor’s degree from Columbia College and received his law degree and masters in public administration and policy from Columbia’s School of Law and its School of International and Public Affairs.
