Liquid Capital LLC., Ron Edinger, Managing Partner, Minority Banking and Finance Advocate of the Yr

Ron Edinger is the owner of Liquid Capital of South Texas and a Principal of Liquid Capital of America.

Edinger moved to San Francisco after completing his military service as a combat unit commander followed by obtaining an MBA from Columbia University. He spent the next seven years working all over the world with the well known international consulting firm, McKinsey and Company. The high technology industry was just beginning to develop in “Silicon Valley” and Edinger left to take on several top management positions in technology companies. During this period he took some of these companies “public” and in 1981 he financed the biotechnology company, where he was CFO. with the largest initial public offering in the history of the stock market up to that time.

In early 1995 he left California with his family to establish the first private, asset based lending company in Costa Rica. This opportunity presented itself when Costa Rica amended its constitution in 1993 allowing private banking. In 2003 the bank sold its portfolio to a large international bank and the Edinger family relocated to San Antonio. He looks back on these years in Latin America fondly and proudly points to the opportunities which have opened up for his children due to their fluency in Spanish.

Liquid Capital has approximately 27 offices across the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. Each office is headed by a Principal who directs the activities of Liquid Capital in his area and is a substantial investor in Liquid Capital of America. Consequently, when a client deals with the local office he is dealing directly with another business owner who will have his own capital in any financing arranged. At the same time, by being a part of a much bigger organization and, owned by one of the leading financial service companies in Canada, the his office has the ability to handle deals which range from $20,000 up to $10,000,000 a month.

Edinger’s obvious enthusiasm shows when he describes his work with small businessmen and women. He goes on to state that his father was a successful small business owner in the petroleum engineering business in Oklahoma City and that entrepreneurs have always been his real “heroes”. He lives in San Antonio with his wife of 24 years and 3 of their five children.
