Hector E. Garcia, 2009 MBDA Executive Director's Award Winner
Hector E. Garcia is a certified public accountant that has been working with small businesses throughout Texas for nearly 30 years.
As an active member in the Southwest Minority Supply Development Council, Garcia has helped other businesses build strategies to help them compete for commercial, non-profit and government grant programs.
He serves in the SMSDC as the chairman of the Minority Business
Entrepreneur Input Committee. Hector is also very involved in the San Antonio Hispanic Contractor’s Association, providing training in construction accounting and compliance.
Garcia and his wife, Mary, live in San Antonio where they are active in social outreach programs as well as business development.
He is a 1977 graduate of St. Mary’s University with a degree in accounting.
