Julissa has earned an excellent reputation for understanding the construction industry and construction financial management. She has been working in the construction industry for the past fifteen years as an integral part of several organizations. Julissa ensures the company’s financial stability protects their clients' investments by maintaining the company's excellent credit and bond ratings. This also allows Tejas to fund and self-perform large projects. As past President of the Construction Financial Management Association, Julissa has proven to be a leader in the construction industry. Along with a team of influential county, AGC and construction executives, Julissa is responsible for the development of the Basics Training Program, a program designed to assist small, minority, and woman-owned construction firms in Bexar County. She is a past member of the Associated General Contractors Education Committee setting up educational seminars on best practices in the construction industry.
VP of Operations and Julissa's husband is Oscar Carielo. Previously working as an architect in a structural engineering firm for thirteen years before joining Tejas, Oscar has the knowledge for quick problem solving and cost effective solutions. He has been involved in several aspects of the project phase of design-build projects, including site environmental analysis, schematic designs, code research, specification and materials research, design development, problem resolution, plan review/checking, and construction phase coordination. His technical expertise and strict adherence to specifications keeps even complex projects on schedule. Oscar's responsibilities include project planning, quality control, scheduling, and site and subcontractor management.
